A wedding of friends – Alex & Marcin: what it’s like to work at your own friends' wedding

People say (who? Well, people!) that mixing work and friendship never ends well. That working for friends is the worst idea ever. But we believe that true friendship can survive anything—even a bit of business! At least in the short term 😉 We won’t speak for long-term ventures! But a friend’s wedding is something even more special—it’s emotions, tears, and unforgettable moments that stay with you forever!

Could we miss our friends’ wedding?

I could go on and on about this—after all, these are our friends! They were at our wedding, so there was no way we could miss theirs! And of course, we couldn’t show up without our cameras to capture their big day through our eyes. It just wouldn’t be us otherwise! 😉

Kasia was already seven months pregnant, with a huge belly! 😉 So we brought our dear friend Wiki along to help. I stood there, camera in hand, filming their vows while crying alongside the other guests. Luckily, our gear is tear-resistant—we tested that thoroughly that day! 😉

A short love story – how it all began.

Alex and Marcin met at a party in Kraków. He lived in Warsaw, she was in Dublin, yet somehow their paths crossed. There was an instant spark, and Alex decided to return to see Marcin again. And that’s how it all started! Later, they lived together in Ireland, and now they’ve moved back to Poland, where they finally had their dream wedding.

Oh, that Covid!

They had to reschedule their wedding twice because of Covid, but as Alex’s godfather, who officiated the wedding, said:
“Maybe this journey was meant to be this way—to make us appreciate what we have even more!”

The wedding day – emotions, vows, and a party until dawn!

A whirlwind of emotions, personal vows, heartfelt speeches from friends and family, and then… absolute madness on the dance floor! That’s the best way to sum up this day in one sentence.

A friend’s wedding I’ll never forget!

I’ll stop here because just thinking about it is making me teary-eyed—and I don’t want to test if my laptop is waterproof! 😉
