Polish-Hindu Wedding in a Barn in Warmia
Monika and Akash decided to say "I do" in a beautiful place in the heart of Warmia - Osada Debowo.
Osada Debowo: Slow-Style Wedding Venue
Osada Debowo is a fantastic place for a slow-style wedding in Warmia. Surrounded by wild nature, off the beaten path, it’s perfect for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city. You have at your disposal a wedding barn and several cottages where you can accommodate your closest friends and family, so everyone can be there with you from the very beginning of the preparations! We had the opportunity to photograph the Polish-Hindu wedding of Monika and Akash, who treated us like their best friends!
Relaxed Preparations
Usually, the moment before a wedding is full of tension, excitement, and a race against time. Here, it was completely different. The preparations were calm and relaxed, with guests lying on the grass, reading books, and no one rushing around. It was the first time we had ever seen such relaxed preparations – believe us, it’s worth striving for this kind of atmosphere! We wandered around the garden with our cameras, going from cottage to cottage, where we would sit down for short chats and a glass of water.
Polish-Hindu Wedding in a Barn in Warmia: Moving Outdoor Ceremony
Monika and Akash’s wedding ceremony took place outdoors. The fruit trees in the orchard behind the garden provided guests with a bit of respite from the warm sun. First, there was the formal part of the ceremony conducted by a civil registrar, then Monika and Akash read their own vows in the form of letters. It was beautiful and touching. Reading vows adds an incredibly emotional dimension to this day. We have heard many vows that our couples have exchanged with each other. Each one was unique and made this day even more special.
Wedding in a Barn: Fun in the Hindu Spirit
The start of the reception was in the Hindu spirit. Monika and Akash, along with their closest friends and family, put on original Hindu costumes and danced to wonderful music. Even the grandparents got caught up in the fun and ruled the dance floor. After a fantastic musical set (Mr. Jankerss & DJ Dreep) that always gets even the most reluctant people dancing, there was a Hindu wedding ceremony. We were able to witness the unique traditions from Akash’s homeland.
Wedding Day Photo Shoot
A wedding day photo shoot is something that is always worth making time for! We know the perfect moment to pull you away for a while, and your guests won’t even notice you’re gone. On the one hand, you have a moment to catch your breath, and on the other hand, we have a chance to enrich your reportage with beautiful shots. Osada Dębowo gives us amazing outdoor opportunities, and the only dilemma is choosing the best spot.
