A dream wedding in Provence – love, lavender, and unforgettable moments!
In the heart of the picturesque Luberon region, hidden among fragrant lavender fields, lies Clos du Tuilier – a place that became the backdrop for Sarah and Konrad's wedding in Provence. It was fantastic to be there, capturing moments that will stay in the memories of the newlyweds and their guests forever.
A humanist wedding in Provence – a ceremony full of emotions!
As the sun slowly set, casting a warm golden light over the terrace with a panoramic view of Luberon, Sarah and Konrad stood before each other and their loved ones. Their humanist ceremony, led by a close friend, was filled with personal touches and deep emotions.
Sarah began reading her handwritten vows but had to pause, overwhelmed by tears. This genuine moment showed how much these words meant to her. Reading personal vows in front of family and friends can be nerve-wracking. Yet, they carry incredible power, making them the most heartfelt words you’ll ever say.
Looking around, guests were visibly moved. Some wiped away tears, while others smiled warmly. It was a beautiful moment of unity, bringing everyone together to celebrate love.
A three-day wedding celebration in true provencal style.
Sarah and Konrad’s wedding in Provence was not just a one-day event but a three-day celebration filled with Provencal charm. The first day was all about welcoming guests to the estate. That evening, everyone enjoyed a welcome party with fresh bruschetta, local wine, and games of pétanque. This classic French pastime set the perfect mood for the upcoming days, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
The second day was a mix of emotions. Sarah spent time with her friends getting ready, enjoying peaceful moments before the ceremony. Later, there were emotional vows, heartfelt speeches, and an unforgettable night of dancing under the stars.
The third day was all about relaxation. Guests lounged by the pool, swam, played games, and soaked up the sun. 😉 The weekend ended with a fun group cooking session, where those who stayed made homemade Italian pasta together.
Behind the scenes
Reaching Clos du Tuilier was an adventure. Although just 80 km from Marseille Airport, the winding mountain roads stretched the journey to nearly two hours. Yet, as soon as I arrived, I knew it was worth every minute.
When filming weddings, I focus on capturing natural moments and blending spontaneous shots with planned ones. This balance allows me to tell the story not only of the wedding day but also of the couple. That’s exactly what Sarah and Konrad wanted – an authentic and emotional film of their wedding in Provence.
Before heading to France, I thought about the best way to showcase this wedding. I decided to mix digital footage with classic VHS-style shots. This added a nostalgic, timeless feel, reminding us that real emotions last forever, no matter how technology evolves.
